It's the Great Gifts Campaign!  This year we have experienced some financial strain due to the economy and an enrollment deficit.  Though no programs have suffered, FBCS is looking to alleviate some of the budget concerns to finish out the year.  The Great Gifts Campaign is your opportunity to join with Faith Baptist Christian School to help us during this time.  If you would like to participate in decorating our Great Gifts Tree in the lobby with your ornament representing your contribution to the cause, please see one of our staff in the office.

The Pekin Marigold Festival in September is one of our most well-known annual fundraisers.  Each year, FBCS runs a food booth in the Pekin Park selling funnel cakes, elephant ears, lemon shake ups, and tenderloin sandwiches.  The staff, students, and parents all chip in with funds and labor to make this a successful fundraising event.  These funds enable the Booster Club to contribute to various projects throughout the year.  We're not sure what we'd do without the leadership of Brian and Karla Trueblood, the Booster Club and all the parents that make up the SOS Warriors who help us pull everything together!

During the Marigold Festival. we also participate in the parade with our own float.  We have also been able to help conduct the Marigold church service with Grace Baptist Church in past years.  The school is represented in the Civic Collage section of the park, where we give away balloons and information.   The next Marigold Festival is scheduled for the weekend of September 4-6, 2015.

On November 22, 2014, FBCS hosted it's first ever 3R5K Fun Run/Walk at Coal Miner's Park in Pekin.  This 5K event is going to be an annual event in the fall to raise funds for the school.  Competitors received goodie bags from our sponsors and there were several trophies and prizes awarded.  Age categories were Youth (18 and under), Young Adult (19-30), Adult (31-50), and Mature Adult (51+).  Awards were given for being the top 5K Male/Female, the top two 5K Male/Female in each age category, fastest family, fastest couple, largest family, and the oldest family.

We had several sponsors for this race including Shazam Running, Dan's Signs, Avanti's, Vonderheide Floor Covering, Running Central, Pekin Trophy House and Chick-Fil-A, who even sent their Cow with a snack for the runners.  If you or your business would be interested in sponsoring next years race and getting your company information on the runner's Tshirts or in their goodie bags, please contact Pastor Chip Herbert.  Results of the 2014 3R5K Race can be seen HERE.

The next annual Bowl-a-Thon takes place on Tuesday, February 27, 2015 and helps to raise money for the Booster Club projects.
Prizes are awarded to individuals and teams for pre-set fundraising goals. A big thank you goes to our SOS Warriors group who help pull this event together!

A major fundraising event every summer is the Warrior Classic Golf Tournament. The outing is followed up with a prime rib dinner and auction that same evening. The tournament, dinner, and auction help to raise funds for tuition scholarships to FBCS for qualifying families. Next year's Warrior Golf Classic is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2015.  Call the school office for more information if you
or your company would be interested in sponsoring this event!  If you would like to participate in the golf outing as a player, you can
upload a brochure here.  Just turn in the brochure with your information to the school office and shine up those clubs!
